Sumara Fireside
unalome bloom is the botanical installation work of artist and designer, Sumara Fireside. Over the years I combined my curiosity of flowers and nature, sacred geometry, objects as artifacts, anthropology, photography, art and design into the work you see here. Using principles of design such as scale, balance, color, symmetry, along with sacred geometry, organic materials, and objects from different practices and faiths, the work invites the viewer in for a moment of meditation and contemplation. The colors found in nature, the textures, and the unexpected layers of a single flower can become a source for unlimited potential. De-constructing and layering of multiple materials found on a walk or with sacred objects, each installation is reminder that all things can change, including beauty, over time.
